Dear Touchstone Parents,
I want to start off my thanking everyone who attended our Celebration of Art event. It was great to see the students and families come together as a community to showcase the wonderful learning and hard work the students put into each of their projects.
We will be kicking off March with two different celebrations; Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother’s Day. The teachers truly make Touchstone the wonderful school that it is for all of our students. I would like to thank each of the teachers for their hard work and dedication to the students and families. Michelle Mieretto from the PTO has organized some special thank you treats to celebrate their hard work. If you would like to celebrate their hard work with your own thank you, you are welcome to do so, but not required.
Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 8. Each child is working hard on a surprise present for their mom. In addition, several of the classrooms are having a celebration during the day to honor their mothers. Please check with your child’s teacher to find out more.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held during the day on Friday, May 27. During this time you will have a chance to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss successes from the year and set up goals for next year. Please look for a sign up sheet on the classroom doors as we get closer to the conference date. There will be no school or camp on conference day.
I am happy to announce that starting Monday, May 2, Touchstone School will be going live with our new parent communication tool, Links2Home. This new program is replacing ParentShare and will provide a more in depth look at your child’s day here at Touchstone. Along with pictures throughout the day, you will also be sent daily lessons, food notes, and fun anecdotes about each day. You will receive these daily reports either via email or through the accompanying app available for your smartphone. If you have not already downloaded the accompanying app, you may do so at:
