Chesterbrook Academy in Brambleton will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 11:30 a.m. to honor the grand opening of its newest Ashburn location. The event will provide an opportunity for families to meet the school principal and teachers, explore classrooms and learn more about Chesterbrook Academy’s signature Links to Learning Curriculum. Links to Learning is a preschool-specific curriculum complete with monthly developmental skill summaries that closely involve parents. The goals of the program are to provide a high-caliber developmentally appropriate education within the classroom, to enhance dialogue with parents and to provide constructive guidance on how parents can become more involved with their children’s education through at-home activities that reinforce what’s being learned at school.
The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, policemen and women, firefighters, school board officials and members of the Ashburn community will be in attendance. Students wearing grand opening T-shirts will sing to attendees, and tours of the school will be available beginning at 12:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
