Dear Touchstone Parents,
As we finish our first month of school, I am overjoyed to walk around the school and take in all the learning and fun taking place in each classroom.
During the month of October, we have several exciting events planned. There is no school on Friday, October 9 for a professional development day. On the 21st of the month, the PreK classes will be going on a field trip to Lee Farms and on the 23rd the Blend and Intermediate class will be having their adventure at Lee Farms. Please see your child’s teacher for details about the trip and to inquire about carpooling. Fall Family Fun Night has been moved to Tuesday, October 27 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. This is an annual event full of fun for the whole family. Students are encouraged to dress up as they go from class to class participating in various activities and making different crafts with their friends and teachers. We will finish the month off with a Halloween Parade from 9:00am to 10:00pm. Students will be going to each classroom showing off their costumes to one another.
I will be out of town for our company’s annual Principal Conference from October 19 to 22. Glenda will be running the school while I am gone during the day, and Courtney will be taking charge during the After School Program. I will be available via email during this time if you need to reach me directly.
