Dear Touchstone Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break and was able to spend some time with their family making memories and enjoying the sun breaks. Spring Break here at Touchstone was a lot of fun and students loved making their spring projects and doing fun science!
Earth Day is this month and here at Touchstone we love to take care of our Earth! On Friday, April 20th we are encouraging all of our students to wear green to school (or red if they don’t have green). We will be doing a school wide lady bug release to help our garden and surrounding plants grow and be healthy. I will also be reading a special recycling book to each of the classes and they will have either a fun ladybug or recycling themed project planned in their class!
During the month of April, each classroom is learning about a different artist or type of art. We will be holding a culminating art show on Thursday, April 26th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the gym. It’s Touchstone’s very own art gallery! Please look for an invitation to our Celebration of Art soon in your Parent File!
Towards the end of this month we will start enrollment for our Summer Camp Program. The theme this summer is “On Your Way” and we have 10 fun themed weeks planned and several fun events! While camp is exciting there is still academics and learning happening during class time but in a fun camp atmosphere! As a reminder summer camp is a week by week camp so you only sign up for the weeks you will attend. It is a first come first served basis so once we distribute our camp forms, it is best to turn them in as soon as possible as space is limited. Your child is eligible for camp if they attended school with us this school year or if they are enrolled for the fall and are age eligible.
I hope you all have a wonderful April and enjoy some sun as our weather is changing!
Thank you,
Elise West; Principal
