Dear Touchstone Parents,
October was a fun filled month with activities including our Fall Family Fun Night, pumpkin patch field trip, and Halloween Parade. Students also spent the month learning about pumpkins, farms, and community helpers.
During the month of November, students will be learning all about giving and being thankful. Touchstone School is pleased to partner with Scholastic’s 9th Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. All month long we will be collecting new pajamas for students in need. To help celebrate, we are having a Wear-a-Pair, Bring-a-Pair celebration at school on Friday, November 17. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite pair of pajamas and bring in an extra pair to donate. Donations can be made at the front desk all month long.
Here at Touchstone, we understand that it takes a community of people to help all our students grow. This month we want to say THANK YOU to all our parents for the hard work and support they do each and every day. On Wednesday, November 8, Touchstone will be hosting a Parent Appreciation Breakfast as a way of showing our gratitude. Please feel free to stop by the front desk after dropping off your child for some coffee and a special treat!
Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Wednesday, November 22. This is a great opportunity for you to sit down with your child’s teacher and discuss successes and to set goals for the remainder of the year. Each classroom will have a sign-up sheet on the classroom doors for you to choose a spot that works best for you. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher. As a reminder, there is no school on conference day.
Thank you,
Gordon Kingsley; Principal
