Dear Touchstone Families,
October is here and the classrooms are in full swing! Students are working hard learning about the change of seasons and all the fun changes that take place during this time of year. As we finish our first month of school, I am overjoyed to walk around the school and take in all the learning and fun taking place in each classroom.
During the month of October, we have several exciting events planned!
Fall Family Fun Night will be held on Thursday, October 12 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This is an annual event full of fun for the whole family. Students and family members go from class to class participating in various activities and making different crafts with their friends and teachers. We ask that students do not wear their costumes and save them for the Halloween Parade taking place at school at 9:30am on Monday, October 31. Please feel free to bring the entire family as well as neighbors and friends!
The Intermediate and PreK Classrooms will be heading to the Plumper Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday, October 18. Please see your child’s teacher for details about the trip or event and to inquire about carpooling.
There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 13 for a Professional Development Day.
On Monday, October 30, Lifetouch Photography will be at the school to take Fall School Pictures. Please look for information and order forms in the next couple of weeks in your Parent File.
I will be out of town for our company’s annual Principal’s Conference from October 22 to 27. Susan Butterfield will be running the school while I am gone and will be available to help answer your questions. I will be available via email during this time if you need to reach me directly.
As always, I am here to help answer any questions you may have or work through any concerns. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you,
Gordon Kingsley; Principal
